This resource is a non-fiction comprehension activity for year 2. There are three differentiated sets of instructions on how to carve a pumpkin (with an adult), with differentiated questions. It would be perfect for using in the autumn term around Halloween.
Each booklet has a colour and black & white version. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘where,’ ‘why,’ ‘which’ and ‘who’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions, true and false questions and some that require more detailed answers. There are four pages of pictures with short written extracts to read and 3-5 questions per page. The higher ability booklet has 18 questions in total. The middle ability has 15 questions and the lower ability has 12 questions. Answers are included. All of the booklets are in the zip file.
